
Lacey, Client Relations Specialist
Lacey joined our Client Relations Specialist team in February of 2010. She comes to Token Creek Veterinary Clinic with six years of previous veterinary receptionist experience. Lacey grew up on a small farmette in Dane County, where she discovered her passion for animals at a very young age.
Lacey is a 2008 graduate of Upper Iowa University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She takes a strong interest in law enforcement, specifically in the areas of mounted and K9 patrol.
Lacey currently resides in the City of Sun Prairie with her fiance, Juan and shares her life with one cat, "Wienie," a Siberian Husky named "Timber" and a 12-year-old Appaloosa horse, "I'm No Angel."
In her free time Lacey enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, cooking, horseback riding and working out. |
Jennifer, Certified Veterinary Technician
Jennifer has been a Certified Veterinary Technician for 15+ years. After working at a Humane Society during her high school years, Jennifer realized that she had a strong passion for animals in many different aspects. She obtained her Associates of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from the Medical Institute of Minnesota in Bloomington, MN. She has been working in small animal practices ever since graduating in 1996. Jennifer divides her time between Token Creek Veterinary Clinic and her full-time job as Supervisor for the Veterinary Department at Covance. Jennifer shares her home with a yellow lab (Tanner), a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Rowan), token cat (Splat), her husband (Mark) and her son (Garrett). Jennifer spends her free time keeping her son active and running obstacle races (a new enjoyment.)

Dr. Diane Zilker
Dr. Zilker is a 1996 graduate of the UW School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Zilker worked in private practice for 10 years before opening Token Creek Veterinary Clinic in June, 2006. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Dental Society. She has two daughters (Rachel and Sophia). Her husband David is an 8th grade science teacher in Lodi and Token Creek's Practice Manager. Dr. Zilker and her family are the proud owners of Beau (mixed lab), and two cats (Mr. Bagels, and Capone), In her spare time, she enjoys creating stained glass artwork and spending time with her family.
Rachel - Rachel, daughter of Dr. Zilker, attends Deforest High School and works part time for the family business.

Dr. Sonja Covington
Dr. Covington is a 1995 graduate of the UW school of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Covington has worked in AAHA Accredited hospitals for the last 15 years. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association. Prior to attending veterinary school, Dr. Covington served in the U.S. Army for three years. There she met her husband of 23 years, Tim, who currently serves full time in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. They are the proud parents of a son (Kele). Other family members include Koda, (rough coat collie), four fish (Algae, Flash, Dart and Sunny) and numerous dust bunnies.
In her free time, Dr. Covington enjoys spending time at the dog park with Koda, karate (with Kele), canoeing, fishing, camping, and spending as much time with her family as possible. |
Dr. Gretchen May
Dr. May is a 1999 graduate of the UW School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. May completed the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society’s Basic Course in Veterinary Acupuncture in 2011 and became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in 2012. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Dr. May shares her home with Matt and 2 cats, Squeaky and Ceeat. She enjoys spending time with family, reading, kayaking, biking, hiking, and yoga when time permits. |
Julie, Certified Veterinary Technician
Julie is one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians. She has over 8 years of experience working in private veterinary practices. Julie attained her bachelor's degree in Zoology with an emphasis in animal behavior (Ethology) at UW Madison. Before coming to private practice, she worked with monkeys for 7 years. Julie is also a certified Pet Dog Trainer. Outside of work, she spends most of her time teaching dog training classes and working privately with owners for Dog's Best Friend Training. She also participates in agility and competition obedience classes with her dog Katana. Julie shares her home with Piper the cat, Norman the parotlet, three ferrets (Arwen, Duncan, and Legolas), three dogs (Makara the Australian Cattle Dog and two Shiba Inus named Katana and Ringo), and one very patient husband (Erik). |
Ashley, Certified Veterinary Technician
Ashley recently became a Board Certified Veterinary Technician after graduating from Madison College's Veterinary Technician program in May of 2012. Ashley splits her time between working as a C.V.T. at both Token Creek Veterinary Clinic and at an emergency veterinary clinic in Madison, Wisconsin. She has lived in Sun Prairie her whole life and plans to travel around the world in the future. She shares her home with her boyfriend, Josh and her Pekinese Poodle (“Cali”). In her spare time Ashley enjoys snowboarding, being outdoors, traveling and spending time with her family. |
Sarah, Veterinary Technician
Sarah is a proud native of Michigan, but decided to move to Madison in 2010. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at Madison College and will graduate in May, 2013. In addition to her technician training, Sarah also has a bachelors degree in zoology, which she earned in 2008 from Northern Michigan University. Sarah has one dog (Minni, a springer spaniel mix), two cats (Eli and Alfie), and a husband (Rick). In her free time, Sarah enjoys playing tennis, kayaking, watching fooball, baking, and spending time with her family. |
