About Us
We are all passionate about providing
the highest level of compassionate care for your cats and dogs. We are
the only clinic in the area that is certified by the AAHA (American Animal
Hospital Association). Find out why AAHA accreditation
is important.
Dr. Diane Zilker
Dr. Zilker is a 1996 graduate of the UW School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Zilker worked in private practice for 10 years before opening Token Creek Veterinary Clinic in June, 2006. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Dental Society. She has two daughters (Rachel 12 and Sophia 9). Her husband David is an 8th grade science teacher in Lodi and Token Creek's Practice Manager. Dr. Zilker and her family are the proud owners of one labrador (Jess), Beau (mixed lab), three cats (Maddy, Mr. Bagels, and Capone), two rabbits (Maizy and Taffy), and one hamster (Princess). In her spare time, she enjoys creating stained glass artwork and spending time with her family. |
Julie Vanderloop, CVT
Julie is one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians. She has over 8 years of experience working in private veterinary practices. Julie attained her bachelor's degree in Zoology with an emphasis in animal behavior (Ethology) at UW Madison. Before coming to private practice, she worked with monkeys for 7 years. Julie is also a certified Pet Dog Trainer. Outside of work, she spends most of her time teaching dog training classes and working privately with owners for Dog's Best Friend Training. She also participates in agility and competition obedience classes with her dog Katana. Julie shares her home with Piper the cat, Norman the parotlet, three ferrets (Arwen, Duncan, and Legolas), three dogs (Makara the Australian Cattle Dog and two Shiba Inus named Katana and Ringo), and one very patient husband (Erik). |
Shauna Hilgart, CVT
Shauna, the newest member of Token Creek Veterinary Clinic, recently became a Board Certified Veterinary Technician after graduating from the Veterinary Technician program in May of 2008. Shauna completed five semesters of Liberal Arts classes before pursuing her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology at MATC. While in the program, Shauna was a member of the Wisconsin Student Association for Laboratory Animal and Veterinary Technicians (WSALAVT), and graduated on the Dean's List. Besides enjoying the animals she works with, Shauna also loves to spend time with her cats (Winston and Turk). |
Brandy Hollman
Brandy is one of our Customer Relations Specialists. She
has over 10 years combined experience in the veterinary field. Knowledgeable
in most aspects of the clinic, Brandy is the information highway for
Token Creek Veterinary Clinic. Along with Makayla, her "acts just like her Mommy" daughter, Brandy has three dogs (Kujo, a Toy Poodle; Tanner, a Jack
Russell Terrier Mix; and Riley, a Wheaton Terrier Mix); three cats (Joey, Budderz, and Ahme), a rabbit,
a guinea pig, and a Lovebird. It's a small wonder that Brandy even makes it to work with her mini zoo at home! |
Sarah Covington
Sarah is one of our Client Relations Specialists. She moved to the Madison area four years ago to attend the UW for a graduate degree in microbiology. Although the program was not a good fit for her, Wisconsin was! Her interest in learning more about veterinary medicine brought her to TCVC. She has loved working with the staff and learning more about caring for animals. Outside the clinic, she is an editor for the journal Prehospital and Disaster Medicine and attempting to learn how to play the banjo. She has a gigantic feline furball named Hunter and is hoping to adopt a dog one day.
